District Assembly? District Conference? District Convention? Confused? Don’t worry, you are not alone. These terms have been interchanged over the years to describe the gathering of Rotarians from around District 7820 which takes place in May of each year. One thing is for certain, the 2010 event will be the best whatever, ever!
Welcome to the official site for the 2010 District 7820 Convention. Here you will learn all about the excellent program of speakers and entertainment the organizing committee has arranged for you. From the opening reception to the closing Gala, you will be educated, entertained and well fed in true Cape Breton style.
The list of speakers includes Dr. Bob Scott, head of Polio Plus, Amanda Sutherland, our Peace Scholar, and RI Presidential Rep, Richard King, a Past RI President himself.
On the entertainment side, there is the Thursday Golf Tournament, a revamped Partners’ Program and lots of Celtic music. The Closing Gala will feature a performance by the world famous Men of the Deeps.

On behalf of the Sydney Sunrise Rotary Club, we are delighted to welcome you to the 2010 Convention in Sydney N.S. May 13th to the 15th. The planning committee has been working diligently, for some time, to ensure this conference will be one to remember. We hope you’ll enjoy meeting old friends and meeting new acquaintances.
